Laying the Foundation: Steps Toward Our Library and Dormitory

By Mufid | Teacher at Punthuk Sewu

A strong education system needs more than classrooms—it needs spaces that nurture learning, focus, and belonging. Today, we are taking important steps toward building two essential pillars of our future school: a library and student dormitories.

Why a Library and Dormitories Matter

  • The Library will become the academic heart of our learning ecosystem—providing access to books, references, and quiet study space for children who often lack these resources at home. It will foster reading habits, independent learning, and curiosity beyond the classroom.
  • The Dormitories (Asrama) will offer a safe and stable living environment for students from remote areas, reducing long travel times and ensuring consistent access to education, mentoring, and daily routines that support character building.

Together, these facilities will allow us to move from informal learning toward a more structured, inclusive, and sustainable education model.

What We Are Doing Now

We are currently preparing the groundwork—planning layouts, mobilizing community support, and aligning resources—to ensure that construction can begin in stages and grow sustainably over time.

How You Can Help

Your support helps us:

  • Prepare and build library and dormitory facilities
  • Equip learning spaces with books, furniture, and basic infrastructure
  • Create a safe, focused environment for students to learn and grow
  • Expand access to education for children from underserved areas

Help us lay the foundation for learning that lasts.

By supporting this step, you are not just funding buildings—you are helping create spaces where knowledge is nurtured and futures are shaped.
