Dear Donor

We trust that you are well as you receive this report and we thank you for being a part of our amazing work.

Its time to report about our  Economic empowerment for persons with epilepsy project, we haven’t been able to start implementing the project since the last project report, the project has not yet raised funds and we have been unable to kick start our activities aimed at economically empowering persons with epilepsy and their parents/caregivers.

Persons with epilepsy encounter so many challenges on a day-to-day basis, as a result of the stigma and discrimination surrounding epilepsy a lot of people with epilepsy are unable to enjoy their right to employment. Most employers both from the formal and informal sectors do not employ persons with epilepsy mainly due to stigma and wrong perception about individuals with epilepsy.

Imagine having epilepsy at the same time being responsible for a households livelihood and being faced with this situation, imagine having a responsibility while striving for  employment,  imagine living in a country where anti-seizure medication are provided for free by government with an intermittent supply and being able or having the financial muscle to buy your medication on your own but having the capacity to work and yet work is not available as a result of stigma and discrimination, imagine being faced with this situation while recognizing the negative impacts it can have on your life. This is what most people with epilepsy go through. We are currently advocating for access to employment for persons with epilepsy recognizing that advocacy is a process hence the need for this project aimed at promoting the economic independence.

This March 2026 we're taking part in a fundraising event called Little by Little, run by GlobalGiving, which begins on 17-20 March from 10:00 am ET and donations up to $50 are matched at 50% while funds last, meaning your $50 becomes $75. We are going to take advantage of the Little-by-Little campaign to fundraise for this project, your gift counts and we appreciate it if you Share our page @ https://epilepsywarriorsmw.org/donate/  with one or two people who might care and support. Little by little, it's people like you who make big change possible. Our website is linked to our projects on the GlobalGiving site, we advise you to click on the Economic empowerment for persons with epilepsy project and the link will take you to our project on the Glogal Giving site where you can proceed with your donation.

We look forward to updating you about the progress of the project three months from now.
