Friends,

“The poultry project is a profitable business that brings us many benefits.” Madame Top is president of the Thieneba poultry cooperative and tells us that CREATE! programs have helped to “improve the conditions of women in rural Senegal.” By raising chickens and selling them for profit, women are able to invest their earnings in cooperatively-managed savings and lending groups to improve their livelihoods.

Your continued support for CREATE! is generating sustainable incomes for rural women through poultry production in Senegal. Today, you can help other women in the communities of Walo, Gagnick Mack, and Darou Diadji start their own poultry cooperatives. For today only, GlobalGiving is matching new donations to this project at 50%! You have the opportunity to help women like Madame Top achieve their dreams. Imagine – your donation of $100 today will become $150 that CREATE! can use to start poultry cooperatives in new communities.

Since our last report in June, our five poultry cooperatives have continued to expand production and thrive thanks to your generous donations. Diligent cooperative members continue to care for chickens in hot and stifling weather. All of the cooperatives have expanded production in preparation for Korité, the festivities that Senegalese communities hold to celebrate the upcoming end of Ramadan.

CREATE!’s beneficiaries truly appreciate your donation to help them on their way to economic self-sufficiency! So what’s next?  We would love to have you get more involved with CREATE! Send an email to kaitlyn@createaction.org and I will let you know all the different ways that you can help out! Be sure to stay updated with what’s going on with CREATE! by signing up for our email list, becoming our friend on Facebook, following us on Twitter, and checking out our blog!

Best wishes,
