2nd Progress report

Empower Develop Dignify(EDD) takes this moment to report on school progress and what we achieved with your support inorder to educate the children from lower income families. Without the partnership between GlobalGiving, the EDD team and all of you who donated to our cause the journey was supposed to remain impossible.

The EDD school program reached an end with 75 students who studied and completed a year with a great package. You all know that children from poor backgrounds are not able to access the quality education which is unfair as all of us deserve the best. EDD decided to unlock the search atmosphere and trust that it can happen through partnership with everyone who is intolerant to injustice.

EDD started an ECD program or Pre-school two years ago with 50 children from poor backgrounds and added a top class or pre-school three with additional 25 students, this school academic year we are closing. Next school academic year starting September 2023, we are preparing to start a primary school and should continue to add a class each year till we have all  primary school levels. We wish we can start all year and help more children from the beginning but we are still looking for funds and learn the best practices of a journey to take.

Parent story

I am a mother of Keza, i can't have enough words to describe EDD to me and my children. The first day I knew  about EDD, it was from a friend and came to EDD running as it was the last day to choose kids they will sponsor for that year. By luck and thank God , I got chosen and my child started that year . From day one , my child was surprised with the way he learned things quickly, in a playful manner and got to know other things beyond academics with empathy and love of school. I didn't get a chance to study well in my school years which ended me hating a school and drop out from studies. I feel happy and thankful to EDD  and its partners! You mean alot to me and all family .

EDD thank all people who donated to our project this term, we take a moment to call you all to help us to start a primary school with all necessary materials. We need so many school materials and furnitures like books,IT equipments(Tablets ,Printer,Projector,etc..)Class shelves, chairs, tables, utensils and etc

You are all welcome to contribute , will be proud of your investments
