Greetings, dear OBAT Family!
We are so excited to greet summer and hope you too are basking in warm sunshine and balmy weather, wherever you are. We are halfway into the year and wanted to bring to you the latest news about the OBAT Preschool that you have been so generously supporting.
Much excitement was witnessed at the preschool when the new books were distributed to the little ones. They walked up to their teacher, their faces beaming with pride and happiness, to collect their brand new books. The kids also got to hang out with their friends who they hadn’t seen in a while due to the lockdown.
The children’s parents were also invited to the preschool on another day. The teachers reviewed the usage of apps for home schooling via smart phones. They also advised the parents on how to best address the learning needs of their children during the new lockdown.
Lastly, Jihad, a student from OBAT’s Preschool, was anxious to introduce himself to you and sent this excerpt about himself and also shared some photos:
“My name is Jihad. I live in Chittagong in the Segan Bagan area. I am 6 years old. I study at OBAT’s Preschool. There are four people in my family. I have one sister. My sister studies in grade 5 of OBAT’s Elementary School. My father’s name is Ripon and he sells items on the roadside. My mother’s name is Julekha, she takes care of me and my sister. My favorite food is beef biryani and my favorite color is black. I love to play ball and eat mangoes in the summer. When I grow up, I want to become a police officer. I love my family very much.”
Please join us in bringing the gift of education to more children like Jihad. Follow us on social media and share this project with your friends and families to make an even bigger impact!
We will be back soon with our next update. Until then, stay safe and enjoy the sunshine!
Thank you for all your support!
Your OBAT Family!
