You make these kids feel special

 Dear friends,

With your support of the children studying at OBAT’s preschool, you have certainly brought light to their lives and made them feel so special with your compassion.

We recently heard from Reshma, a preschool student and would like to pass on what she wrote for you:

My name is Reshma. I am six years old. I study in OBAT’s preschool in the Sardar Bahadur Camp in Chittagong. My father’s name is Md. Rashed. He drives a rickshaw for a living. But he has left my mother and us. My mother’s name is Sumi. We all live in a small hut. I have one brother who is ten years old. He also studies in OBAT’s preschool with me. My favorite color is red and I love the fruit, lychee. I love my school and I want to be a teacher one day.

Among other news, the preschool recently observed Global Handwashing Day to spread awareness among the kids on the importance of maintaining proper hygiene. This is more important in the camps than anywhere as a lot of these children do not have access to enough food and hence their immunity system is not strong enough to combat the viruses spread through contact. During this day, teachers taught children how to wash their hands well and maintain overall cleanliness.

With the upcoming holiday season, the best gift you can give to the preschool children is spreading their message-talk to your friends and family about how educating an underprivileged child can ultimately lift them out of poverty. Encourage them to send a small gift to light up their lives. You can share our project page by sharing this link: ttps://goto.gg/25821.

Don’t forget to contribute to this project on GivingTuesday- Global Giving will match donations up to $150,000 and will also issue bonus prizes to its partners like OBAT. Share your support with friends on social media on GivingTuesday- generosity is highly contagious and this is one virus you can feel free to spread!

Blessings and much joy to you in this holiday season.

 Your OBAT family.
