Educate 3000 children against societal risks

Dear Friends,

In early September 2024, AAT organized a welcome meeting for the new school year for students and parents, providing an opportunity to connect all parties. This meeting not only helped strengthen the relationships between parents, students, and program staff, making them more friendly and open, but also gave parents a chance to share important thoughts about their hopes for the future, their efforts and determination, as well as the challenges they are facing in life. On this occasion, AAT also presented meaningful gifts to the students, hoping that these would serve as a source of motivation to help them start the new school year with energy and determination.

In addition, the "Where Dreams Bloom" project welcomed two new children, aged 7 and 9. We are delighted to support these two young students and will continue to provide the best conditions for their holistic development.

In collaboration with Streets International, AAT organized a career orientation activity for the parents of children in the "Where Dreams Bloom" project. This activity provided basic knowledge about professions such as cooking, bartending, hotel and restaurant management, helping parents understand more about career opportunities and personal development. AAT sincerely thanks Streets International for their valuable contributions in sharing this useful knowledge.

On the occasion of Vietnam Women's Day in October, AAT organized a succulent planting activity. The students personally planted and decorated succulent pots to gift their loved ones, sending their love and appreciation to the important women in their lives.

In November, AAT held a sex education activity for students aged 6 to 18 in the "Where Dreams Bloom" project. Students aged 6 to 12 participated in the theme "Puberty and Safe Internet Use," where they learned essential knowledge about puberty and how to use the internet safely. Meanwhile, students aged 12 to 18 participated in the theme "Understanding Gender and Sexuality," helping them gain a clearer and more accurate understanding of gender and sexual issues, equipping them with necessary knowledge to protect themselves.

We are delighted to share with you the latest updates on the "Educating 3000 Children to Fight Social Risks" project. Thanks to your invaluable support, we have been able to organize many diverse activities throughout the school year and ensure that 100% of the girls in the program can continue their education without the worry of paying tuition fees.

At the beginning of June, AAT organized a painting and love message activity for the children in the "Where Dreams Bloom" project. During this event, the children unleashed their creativity, drawing vibrant and colorful pictures that expressed their pure emotions and innocent hearts. These paintings not only reflected their joy and brightness but also conveyed meaningful messages of love.

Over the past three months, the children have been on summer break and participating in important exams, particularly those finishing the school year. We are pleased to announce that two participants, Gazania and Jasmine, completed their high school graduation exams with impressive scores. Both are now planning to balance vocational training with part-time work to cover living expenses and support their families.

During this period, we also continued to provide additional health insurance cards for women and mothers working in the sex trade. They face significant economic difficulties, especially health issues related to their profession.

Furthermore, we continue to support loans for the mothers in the project, providing them with opportunities to develop their businesses and cover living expenses.
