Your Impact: Healing that Brings Back Smiles

By Abdulrazak Madi | Project Leader

Have you ever wondered how your outstretched hand can wipe away a tear, bring back a smile, or offer a child the chance to heal from post-traumatic stress disorder?

Our children in Northern Syria carry heavy memories in their small hearts, scenes of loss, forced displacement, and living in harsh conditions that have turned their childhoods into distant memories. Every memory, every moment of pain, follows them like a shadow, constantly rekindling those painful scenes.

But amidst this pain, your generous hands, combined with movement and eye therapy, become a practical means to rebuild their weary spirits.

By identifying the traumatic memories, the students confront those moments that have deeply affected them. Under the supervision of experienced specialists, their journey begins by moving their eyes in an organized manner, guiding their minds back to a healthy processing path. Through bilateral stimulation, the brain’s capacity to break down painful memories is activated, reshaping them into less painful forms. What was once an unhealed wound starts to close gradually. Each session represents a step toward freedom, toward breaking free from the prison of trauma that hinders their lives.

These sessions serve as a safe space that allows them to break free from the chains of the past and feel that a new hope awaits them.

But, let us tell you, this hope would not have become a reality without your support. You are the driving force behind every smile that begins to return to their faces.

Now, tell us, how do you feel knowing that you have given children the ability to dream again? That your assistance was the reason those painful memories became part of the past?

With your generosity, you have contributed to changing their lives, giving them a chance for inner peace. And from the depths of our hearts, we thank you.
