Why Are We So Focused On Supporting Orphans

By Abdulrazak Madi | Project Leader

As we wander through the alleys and camps of Northern Syria, we are filled with mixed emotions of sadness and hope. The narrow lanes and sprawling camps reveal the life stories of thousands of orphans who reside there, who have been robbed by wars and conflicts of their most precious possessions - their families and homes. Now, they find themselves facing life alone.

With every step we take in these camps, we feel the urgent need for care and support. The orphans live in harsh conditions, a part of their daily reality. Instead of going to school, many of them find themselves forced to engage in hard labor to earn their living. Holding tools and manual labor implements instead of pens and books, they face life's challenges with a bravery that exceeds their young age.

However, in these circumstances, hope emerges with every contribution and donation that reaches them. Thanks to your efforts and generous giving, 201 orphaned children reclaimed a part of their childhood. Provided free education, psychological, and academic support, to meet their basic needs, and empower them to build a better future. Every child who returns to school, every orphan who receives training and guidance, is a step towards changing the course of these children’s lives for the better.

In every corner of these camps, there is a story of heroism and resilience, and with every donation and contribution, we add a new chapter filled with hope and change to the lives of these orphans.
