A new beginning is drawn by your generous hands for every orphan, giving them the tools of narrative therapy as a lifeline to recover from their deep traumas.
These children, who have witnessed destruction and loss and borne burdens beyond their few years, now find in your support an opportunity to reshape their lives and explore new ideas that enable them to overcome their past through individual sessions with specialized therapists.
In each therapeutic session, they learn to use the "lifeline," an artistic technique that allows them to represent the major events of their lives as timelines, making it easier for them to reinterpret those events and understand their role in building their characters.
With every line drawn, memories of loss diminish, replaced by landmarks that lay the foundation for a new life. Now, instead of sorrowful faces, these children begin to see themselves as heroes of their own stories, stories filled with hope and possibilities.
