We have received a message from Abdul-Karim, he shared a selfie with a gentle smile that carries a lot of gratitude and appreciation.
Months ago, we documented his journey from Sarmin to the Atma camps. He was carrying his belongings, including school books and what was left of his home furniture, with eyes shining with hope and challenge.
Abdul-Karim, the student who was forced to leave his city after the severe bombing that destroyed it and its schools, did not give up on his dreams despite losing his father and facing tough circumstances.
His life has changed completely, drawing strength from the hope that he can still make a life for himself. Now, he continues his education alongside 274 other orphaned students through Masarat, progressing in his studies in a safe and interactive environment that fosters his academic and life skills every day.
Every step we take together contributes to shaping a bright future for students like Abdul Karim, who sees every new day as an opportunity for progress and success.
