Steps on campus, started with your impact!

By Abdulrazak Madi | Project Leader

Imagine going back in time to your first day at university! Do you remember your first step on campus? That moment when your heart raced—a mixture of fear and excitement, an uncertain beginning to a future you were painting in your mind!

Today, we relive this moment through the eyes of our students who have just embarked on their university journey, but this time, they are not alone… because you are with them!

As part of the academic advising program, we walk with our students every step of the way, celebrating their dreams and sharing in their successes. Our role didn’t end when they graduated from high school; we organized a special session titled “How Do I Live My First Year of University?” This session was full of life, where students engaged in passionate and excited discussions about their futures.

“What are my expectations for university life?” This simple question kicked off the session, unveiling deep-seated dreams and great ambitions in the hearts of our students. Some of their answers were filled with hope and passion, and here are a few:

  • Sidra: "University life is a door to a new future... Finally, I’ll achieve my dream of becoming a history teacher!"
  • Assaf: "For me, university is an opportunity for self-development and skill growth. It’s more than just books and lectures; it’s a journey of shaping the mind."
  • Hafsa: "I’m not entirely sure what university life will be like, especially as a housewife, but I’m excited to experience it and pursue my dream."

During the session, our students learned that visiting the university before classes start can be a smart step to help them prepare, and that managing and organizing their time is the key to academic success. We gave them practical tips like breaking subjects down into topics and summarizing paragraphs as questions to help them confidently tackle academic challenges.

One session was enough to transform fears into confidence and hesitation into strength. Our students left with a greater belief that the future they dream of is closer. Most importantly, they weren’t walking this path alone; they were supported by you and your care.

And now, what about you? We’d love to hear the advice you received on your first day of university. How did it change your life?

Today, you are the one offering advice and inspiration. What kind of impact would you like to leave on a university student’s life?

With you, we open doors of hope and pave the way to success for them.
