Have you ever thought about how much you influence others? How your words and actions can leave a lasting mark on the lives of those around you?
During the closing session of the student activities program titled "Effective Communication Skills," our students were laying the foundation for their academic and professional futures. Their awareness of the power of body language, facial expressions, and tone of voice was a crucial step toward influence, persuasion, and building a strong presence.
Through an interactive experience using the Kahoot tool, students engaged in an exciting competition, moments of anticipation, and enthusiasm to understand the meanings behind body language. The experience was a realistic simulation of future scenarios such as job interviews, presentations, and important meetings. They learned that their posture, hand gestures, and even facial expressions could be the difference between a missed opportunity and a golden one.
But it didn’t stop there. The discussions extended to the concept of feedback—both positive and constructive—and how a single word of encouragement can motivate a student, while an unconsidered comment can diminish their confidence.
The result?
Students who are more prepared for the future, more confident in themselves, and more capable of making an impact in their academic and professional lives through effective communication and a strong presence.
Now, imagine yourself leading such a session. How would it feel to contribute to shaping a generation capable of expressing, influencing, and succeeding?
Your presence here and your reading of these words mean that you believe in the power of influence and seek to make a difference. Thank you for your attention, your time, and your willingness to be part of a journey of change.
