Do You Know Why Grown-Ups Cry in Silence?

By Abdulrazak Madi | Project Leader

Every child in the world expresses themselves through tears...
They cry when they are hungry, cry when they are in pain, cry when they need someone to change their clothes. This is their first language, their way of making their needs and feelings heard by those around them.

As they grow, they learn to speak.
They learn to tell their mother and father about what bothers them at school, or what hurts them in the neighborhood, or when they fall out with a close friend, they find someone who listens, someone who cares about their sadness, someone who comforts them, guides them, and reassures them with kind words that restore their confidence and sense of safety.

This is the reality for every child... except the orphan.
The orphan cries but no one hears, they fear but no one comforts them, they grieve, but no one wipes away their tears, they are lost in their small questions and quiet dreams, with no hand to hold, no voice to guide them.

But... there is a beautiful exception:
The orphans in Syria who have received your donations, you made this exception possible, gave them safety, showed them that someone out there cares, listens, understands, and wants good things for them.

Because of you, we at Masarat provide psychological support and guidance to every orphan in our care, we sit with them, listen to their words, give them the time they need to feel safe, to know there is someone who truly cares about what they feel, fear, and suffer from, to realize they are no longer alone in this world, even after losing their father and mother.

Your donations are what enable us to continue, to reach even more orphans, those who have grown up hiding their pain in silence, locking away their tiny dreams in their hearts, afraid that no one will ever hear them.

Keep giving, so we can reach them, wipe away their tears, and give them a new beginning, a life worth living.
