Ali is an orphan whose childhood is still incomplete, yet it is already marked by the stains of oil and grease. Ali is not just a worker in an auto repair shop; he is a child forced to trade his school desk for a piece of cold iron, and his pen for a wrench, to support his family after losing his breadwinner.
Despite the clear signs of exhaustion on his face, Ali’s green eyes tell another story; the story of a child who refuses to be swallowed by the smoke of workshops. Ali spends his day in grueling and strenuous labor that does not suit his tender body, but in every moment of rest, he watches the road, searching for an opportunity to return to his natural world—the world of books and knowledge.
How does "Masarat" intervene to save Ali’s childhood? At Masarat, we believe that Ali’s true place is among his peers in virtual classrooms, not in dark mechanic shops. Therefore, we work on:
Breaking the Siege of Labor: Providing a flexible educational system that allows Ali to learn during his rest hours from work, ensuring his school years are not lost.
Rebuilding Confidence: Providing Ali with psychological support to help him feel that his true value lies in his mind and intelligence, and that his current work is a temporary circumstance he will overcome through education.
A Window to the World: Through distance learning, we pull Ali out of the confines of the workshop into the vastness of knowledge, allowing him to see a future that transcends the boundaries of the neighborhood where he works.
Our Partners at GlobalGiving your support for Ali is a true "lifeline." When you contribute to Ali’s education, you are wiping the dust of fatigue from his face and planting the hope of success in its place. You are restoring the child’s right to dream of becoming an engineer or a doctor, instead of remaining a prisoner to a profession imposed upon him by orphanhood and poverty.
Because of you, Ali will not remain just a "little worker" in a shop; he will become a "success story" that you can all be proud of.
