In pottery, it takes patience and strength to transform solid clay into an artistic vessel. For the orphaned young man, Samer, this is his daily battle to provide for his family who lost their breadwinner. But Samer's story does not end within the walls of the clay workshop; his true narrative begins when the sun sets.
Samer spends his entire day in the heat of the workshop, his hands covered in clay and his back bent over the pottery wheel. It is grueling work that requires high concentration and physical strength, driven by his duty as the sole provider for his family amidst difficult displacement conditions.
In the evening, his journey of knowledge begins through "Masarat." When he returns home, he washes the traces of clay from his hands, but he does not wash away his ambition. He opens his mobile phone to transform from a "potter" into a diligent "student" via the Masarat platform. He navigates through his high school lessons, searching for the knowledge he believes is the key to lead him and his family from the hardships of poverty to the vastness of the future.
How does "Masarat" support Samer in his dual mission? At Masarat, we realize that Samer represents the "silent hero" who refuses to be crushed by reality; therefore, we design our support to be a true pillar for him through:
Flexible Education as a Lifeline: Providing a free and flexible online educational system that allows Samer to access lessons and materials at any time that suits his busy schedule, ensuring his school years are not lost due to forced labor.
Knowledge and Psychological Security: We provide Samer with a nurturing and stable learning environment that compensates for the severe shortage of physical schools, giving him hope that his daily toil will be crowned with brilliant success in the future.
Building a Leadership Personality: Through academic advising tracks, we help Samer discover his strengths and transform his resilient energy into academic excellence.
Our Partners at GlobalGiving Your support for "Masarat" is the true funding for "Sustainable Hope" for children like Samer. When you see Samer's hands soiled with clay, remember that your donation is what gives him the ability to hold the "digital pen" to write his future. Because of you, we do not leave Samer alone in the face of grueling work; instead, we place the compass of knowledge in his hand.
