Thank you for helping students rebuild strength from the inside.
For many children in northern Syria, the effects of war and displacement are not only seen in damaged homes or interrupted schooling. They are also carried quietly inside: in fear, anxiety, difficulty concentrating, and the feeling that safety has become far away.
For a child carrying this weight, learning can become difficult. Joining a lesson, speaking with classmates, sleeping peacefully, or participating in activities may feel harder than it should. Before a student can fully learn, they often need to feel safe enough to try.
At Masarat, your support helps provide psychosocial care for students who need guidance, reassurance, and practical tools to manage stress and fear. With the help of specialists, students learn how to understand their thoughts, calm their emotions, build healthier coping strategies, and regain confidence step by step.
This support can change daily life in meaningful ways.
A student who once avoided participation may begin to speak. A child who felt overwhelmed may begin to feel calmer. A young learner who carried fear into every lesson may begin to experience education as a place of support, not pressure.
And when a child begins to feel safer, the impact reaches beyond the student. Families feel relief. Mothers see hope return to their children’s faces. Classrooms become more welcoming. Learning becomes possible again.
Because of your support, students at Masarat are not only receiving education. They are receiving the care they need to heal, participate, and move toward a future with more confidence and peace.
Thank you for helping children find a safer path forward.
