When Uncertainty Finds Direction

By Abdulrazak Madi | Project Leader

During one of our academic guidance sessions, a student asked us:

“How do I know if I’m moving in the right direction? I feel like I’m always running, but I don’t know where I’m going.”

It is a simple question, but one that reflects the uncertainty many students experience—especially orphaned students who may not have someone close to help them think through their options, understand their abilities, and make decisions about their future.

At Masarat, we do not give students ready-made answers or choose their path for them. Instead, we help them pause, explore their interests and abilities, understand the opportunities available to them, and evaluate their choices more thoughtfully.

This is where academic guidance becomes like a compass: it does not choose the destination for students, but helps them discover it for themselves.

Through guidance tools and activities, students learn to set realistic goals, choose academic paths that align with their abilities and aspirations, and reassess their steps when necessary—instead of simply following a path because others are taking it.

Thanks to your support, our students receive something especially valuable at this stage of their lives: space to think before choosing, and tools that help turn uncertainty into a plan and ambition into clear steps.

Thank you for giving our students the opportunity not simply to keep running, but to understand why they are moving forward and where they want to go.
