The Raining Season School provides quality education and daily meals in a safe, structured environment. The school serves 185 children, including both residential children and vulnerable community students.
In Sierra Leone, many families cannot afford school fees, uniforms, supplies, or daily food. As a result, children often miss school or drop out entirely. Without access to education, they remain vulnerable to poverty, exploitation, and family separation. Community schools frequently lack trained teachers, adequate materials, and consistent meals, making sustained learning difficult.
This project will fund one year of operations for The Raining Season School in Sierra Leone, serving 185 children including 51 in residential care and 134 from the surrounding community. Funds will provide teacher salaries, learning materials, uniforms, daily meals, and safe classrooms. For just $223 per child per year, children receive education, nourishment, and stability.
Education transforms futures. By supporting 185 children each year, this project strengthens families, reduces the risk of institutional placement, and builds community stability. Students gain literacy, life skills, and opportunity creating long-term change in Sierra Leone.
