Many people in the world easily take for granted the positive things that life has offered like a family, an education and a place to call home. But there are millions of children in Kenya who are abandoned, orphaned and vulnerable. To survive they need help. Ntimi Home of Hope aims to alleviate poverty and facilitate lasting change in the lives of orphans and the most vulnerable children and families living in Kenya through education, health and livelihood programs.
Hundreds of thousands of families in Kenyan Slums have lost breadwinners to HIV/AIDS, and are stuck in systemic poverty cycles where children lack access to healthcare, education, food, and shelter. Your support will help fight poverty by empowering these children, especially girls, through free, quality education, healthcare, and basic needs. A girl student, Rose, says, "We were suffering in the slums...I am very happy to be in secondary school where I forget about being an orphan."
Ntimi Home of Hope identifies the most vulnerable children and enroll them in different programs in Education. You are educating over 65 children from nursery to university. This also includes providing them with boarding facilities, meals, clothes, medical care, vocational training, clean water, an HIV/AIDS prevention program, supplies, transportation, healthcare, educational materials, books, indoor and outdoor recreation and play facilities - everything they need to be successful!
This project has potential and impactful in mainstreaming the orphans, needy and vulnerable children. Their basic needs are met and they will get new life through gaining knowledge, vocational skills and life skills. They will get love and affection as if their parents provides. Their confidence level will increase and become a good asset to the community. They are developed physically and psychologically and made good and productive citizens.
