MAY

Tolerance

Working with this value favored the school coexistence, they associate this value with “respect” and with having “tolerance”, children face the difficulty of showing patience to their classmates so we worked this aspect through learning to wait turns.

Tolerance and identity

Our objective was to teach the kids to make choices and act with critical judgement in the face of the values and social and cultural standards, proceed in favor of democracy, freedom, peace, respect for legality and human rights; fight discrimination and racism, and awareness of belonging to their culture, their country and the world.

It was shown a video called “IDENTIDAD Y ADOLESCENCIA”, in order to promote the analysis and conversation with respect to who we are and what makes us equal or different from the others.

Through a classic children’s game called “la gallinita ciega” in order to promote the coexistence, we wanted the children to know the importance of knowing each other, the differences that we have and that, in spite of that, we should coexistence in a respectful way.

JUNE

To finish the semester we elaborated a mural in a school space, the children from the school participated painting the tree of life, where they captured their mark (hand) as a part of the commitment of being a good citizen.

With great success  we presented the play “El Pueblo Que No Quiso Morir” which narrates the beginning of the history of our community, this in order to conclude the works 2017-2018 of the Program Educar Para La Vida in the Elementary School Cuauhtémoc, in the play 43 children participated acting and representing characters and stories of our community, achieving  that the children and their parents know their history in a dynamic way, representing in this manner the culture and belonging of our community.
