Thanks to the continued support of our generous donors, The Girl Child Foundation Uganda has made meaningful progress in ensuring that vulnerable girls remain in school. During this reporting period, we provided school fees, uniforms, textbooks, and sanitary pads to girls from low-income families who would otherwise struggle to access education.
Many of the girls we support face challenges such as poverty, long distances to school, and limited access to basic educational supplies. By addressing these barriers, we have helped improve school attendance and reduced the risk of dropout among beneficiaries. Girls have reported feeling more confident and motivated to participate actively in class because they now have the resources needed to learn effectively.
In addition to educational support, we conducted mentorship sessions focused on leadership, self-esteem, and goal setting. These sessions provided a safe environment where girls could discuss challenges, learn from role models, and gain skills that will help them succeed both academically and personally.
We also continued providing reproductive health education, empowering girls with knowledge that promotes healthy decision-making and helps them manage adolescence with confidence. Our collaboration with schools and families remains strong, ensuring that beneficiaries receive consistent support throughout their educational journey.
The positive impact of this project is visible in improved attendance, increased confidence, and stronger commitment to education among the girls we serve. We are deeply grateful to our donors and partners for making this work possible. Together, we are helping vulnerable girls stay in school and build brighter futures.
