Currently there are 166 students at the Bon Center, 106 boys, 60 girls. The students are given the opportunity to write essays about any topic they like. These were published in a booklet. Here is one student’s views:
“All human beings are the same no matter differences in culture, social background, life style. There may be differences in our faith, color, creed, religion but we should remember we are all the same. We must stop discriminating against people who seem different and befriend everyone. Someone said, “Internal peace is an essential step for achieving peace in the world”. So how do we do that? – realize that mankind is all one. The essence of all religion is to understand our common ground.”
The Bon Center believes in a holistic learning environment where all aspects of living are addressed, academic, physical, emotional, mental, spiritual and life skills learning. Youth learn and grow into well rounded, thoughtful, caring individuals who are comfortable engaging with the world of difference they will meet in their adult life.
