The children who are in the care of the Bon Center enjoy a varied life. There is a strong emphasis on academics but also music, art, sport and spiritual matters as well as psychological development. There are 231 students at the center. They are engaged in learning new things every day and take responsibility for their personal care and care for their surroundings as well as helping with younger children.
Music and the joy it brings is central to the life at the center. One student had this to say about music, “I like composers who write beautiful music and songs especially those from India and Tibet. I always write music and lyrics about the natural world and scenery. Sometimes I listen to other people’s songs and take some ideas from them. I would like to compose music and songs that make the world more enjoyable for people.”
Thank you for your continuing interest in the Bon people.
