The students at the Bon Center receive a quality education and are given many opportunities including in music, sport, poetry, spiritual life and through field trips to points of interest. The holistic education experience helps these young people grow into well rounded, empathic, hard working adults. Here are the comments of one student who went on a field trip to Varnasi. This city is in Uttar Pradesh in northern India and dates from the 11th century and is regarded as the spiritual capital of the country. “I was glad to be able to visit this city and I learned a lot. I learned how education is valuable in one’s life. The methods and principles of study of their students was different from ours. I saw some workers in the street and got a strange feeling in my mind that I will also become like these poor workers if I do not study seriously and sincerely. Life seems so simple when we were kids but gradually when we grow up and realize that life is not what we used to think. We see that life without education is like a car without a wheel. Time is very precious for us and I realize how important the Bon Center is for me and my life. I have no problems in studying and everything is comfortable with the life here.”
