July 2026 Scholarship Program Update

While we love to tell the individual human stories behind Epilogos' programs, it's also important to think about the scale of our impact—and how your donations allow us to support even more students every year.

In 2026, Epilogos has faciltiated scholarship support for 164 students!

21 students with special needs

69 K-9 students

68 high school students

6 college students

As we have previouslt shared, our education program also funds the salaries for 2 teachers for special education and 1 school administrator. The special education teachers are providing weekly workshops across a 2 month span for parents of children in the special education program to learn how to best support their children. We also provided a workshop for all teachers to learn about integrating the special ed students into typical classrooms/activities.

Six classrooms have been adopted in 2026 through our "Adopt a Classroom" program, allowing students in SJV to get access to learning materials and classroom resources.

Our Big Friend/Little Friend program has also grown in size. This year, 17 mentors and 17 students are learning and growing together, building confidence, considering how to live their values, and building a sense of belonging.

Finally, 20 students are participating in our robotics program.

Behind the numbers, is a unique story of resilience, growth, and learning for each student. You are supporting their dreams!

March 2026 Scholarship Program Update

Thank you for your support and interest in Epilogos' scholarship program!

For this update, we'll be sharing about the special education program—a subsection of our scholarship program that is near and dear to our hearts. In 2026, 21 special needs students are receiving scholarships to attend school, and our program also supports the salary of one full-time and specially trained teacher.

Epilogos started this special education program at the Complejo Educativo school in San Jose Villanueva in 2019, when we began to recognize that several students needed more structure and specialized support for their learning, and even more childen in the community were not attending school at all because the schools couldn't support them in regular classroom settings.

Over the years, this program has grown and evolved, always focusing on supporting the growth and learning of the students.

This year, the students needed to move into a new classroom. Parents and our staff completely redecorated a new room for the class, including new chairs and tables which were provided with the proceeds from a specific fundraiser.

Additionally, last week Epilogos hosted a workshop for all of the teachers at the Complejo to inform them about neurodiversity and the different methods of teaching these students, as an ongoing effort to strengthen resources that will hopefully integrate the students into typical classes when possible.

As we stregthen this program with more teacher support, nuerodiversity workshops for all of the school's teachers, and offering more scholarships, we rely on generous donors like you who believe that everyone deserves an education.

November 2025 Scholarship Program Update

Thank you for your support and interest in Epilogos' scholarship program!

Since our last update over $2500 has been raised to help educate students in San José Villanueva, El Salvador!

At Epilogos we are filled with joy and pride as we witness the success of each of our students who, through effort and dedicaiton, shine and excel in the different fileds of study they choose. Every success story remids us that education opens doors and transforms lives.

It is graduation time in El Salvlador and 18 scholarship students will graduate from high school this year. Some will attend college and others will enter the workforce - all with the benefit of a quality high school education.

We would like to share the story of a scholarship recipient. Melvin recieved an Epilogos scholarship in elementary and high school and was awarded a university scholarship to attend an engineering school to become a Computer Hardware Technician. He graduated earlier this year and he is employed servicing computers and printers for businesses.

"Your actions were for me the key that opened the door to a future that once seemed unreachable. Before receving this scholarship my future was uncertain. I had am immense desire to succeed, but very few real opportunities to achieve it. The scholarship I recieved was not simply financial support, it was an act of faith in me, in my abilities, in my desire to learn and grow. Thank you for believing in me, for looking at my story, and for giving me the opportunity to show that sometimes all it takes is someone extending their hand so that another can move forward. Thanks to you I now have the opportunity to pracitce my career, sustain myself with dignity, and aspire to a better quality of life. Moreover, you have given me the chance to work towards a brighter future, not only for myself, but also for my community and for El Salvador."
