Educate the Future Leaders of Sierra Leone

Project Supporters,

We greatly appreciate your ongoing educational support for students in Sierra Leone. Thanks to you, more students, like Ibrahim, are getting the computer training they need for success in today's technology-driven environment.

Ibrahim benefited from an eight-week computer course this summer. The computer course aimed to introduce basic computer skills at the Develop Africa Sierra Leone Computer Lab in Freetown.

The course covered two topics;

 1. Introduction to computer

This topic focused on the following subtopics:

• Parts of computer: Keyboard, mouse, monitor, CPU, etc.
• Types of computers
• Components of computers

 2.  Introduction to Microsoft Word.

Basic Microsoft word skills such as typing, formatting text, etc. were covered.

Ibrahim was grateful to take the computer class and sent a video of thanks saying-

Project Supporters,

Thanks to your ongoing support of future leaders’ education, 29 students in Bo, Sierra Leone received financial support to pay for their school fees and school supplies for the 2021-2022 school year.   The students receiving school support ranged from Nursery school all the way through Senior Secondary school.

During the distribution, both the students and the parents were very excited and grateful about the educational support they were receiving.  Two of the beneficiaries, Emmanuel & Janet, expressed their gratitude saying in this video saying

Hi, my name is Emmanuel. I am in class 4; my best subject is English. In the next academic year, I can't wait to learn more about English. Thank you.

Hi, my name is Janet. I am now in JSS3. In the next academic year, I want to learn more about English. Thank you.
