Dear friends,
Things have been humming along at OBAT’s preschools since we last shared news with you. The new year is off to a great start while 2015 ended with some tests for the preschoolers. Yes, tests! These young ones undergo simple testing which determines where they stand in terms of their learning for the past year. We are proud to say that we have some really smart kids at our preschools and we cannot wait for them to transition into regular school.
Chittagong’s Khulsi Preschool has been keeping especially busy. On the 9th of February, this preschool arranged its annual sports day. As you can see from the photos, the students had a whale of a time playing various, exciting games. The two chief guests, Mr. Sohail Khan (Country Coordinator, OBAT Bangladesh) and Mr. Qayum Siddiqui (prominent social worker and community leader), gave out the prizes to the winners of the competitions. Just as these children inspire us with their desire to learn, we are equally amazed and inspired by your generosity. You have already helped us raise $9,500! With only, $4,250 more to go, we know that our goal can be met easily with a little more support for the young children who attend our preschools. Do share this project with your loved ones and encourage them to change the trajectory of a child’s life by supporting his or her education.
With gratitude from us and the camp children,
The team at OBAT Helpers.
