Smile Charity South Sudan – Project Report

Reporting Period: August –October 2025

1. Introduction

Smile Charity South Sudan continues to uphold its mission of bringing hope, dignity, and joy to vulnerable children and communities. Over the past months, we have made significant progress in education support and psychosocial interventions, despite resource and financial challenges.

2. Key Achievements

a) Education Support

Two Children Enrolled in Bethel Primary School

Smile Charity successfully facilitated the enrollment of two children at Bethel Primary School.

This initiative provides them with access to formal education, learning materials, and a safe environment to pursue their studies.

Follow-up visits are being conducted to ensure both children adapt well and continue their education without disruption.

b) Psychosocial Support

More than 300 Children Reached

Our psychosocial support program has provided care, counseling, and community-based activities to over 300 children.

Activities include group therapy sessions, recreational games, mentorship, and life skills training.

This program aims to restore hope, reduce trauma, and strengthen resilience among children affected by conflict, displacement, and poverty.

3. Impact

Access to education gives enrolled children a brighter future and reduces risks of child labor or early marriage.

Psychosocial support has improved emotional well-being, helping children reintegrate into community life with greater confidence.

Families of participating children have expressed appreciation for the support, noting visible improvements in behavior, self-esteem, and social interaction.

4. Challenges

Limited financial resources remain a major barrier to scaling our programs.

Transportation and logistics in reaching remote areas continue to be difficult.

Demand for educational support is higher than our current capacity.

5. Way Forward

Expand psychosocial support to cover 500 children by the end of 2025.

Enroll additional children into formal education, targeting at least 10 new students before the end of the school year.

Strengthen fundraising and partnerships to sustain ongoing initiatives.

6. Conclusion

Smile Charity South Sudan is making tangible impacts in the lives of children through education and psychosocial support. With increased collaboration and continued commitment from our board, partners, and well-wishers, we can reach even more children and transform communities.
