All against virus Covid-19

By Silvia Felici | Junior Project leader

Dear Donors,

Currently in Palestine the total cases of people affected by Covid-19 are 154,000 with 1,757 deaths.

The emergency measures adopted by the Palestinian Authorities, which unfortunately continue to restrict people in their daily lives, have remained in force because of the continuous infections.
Restrictions remain about travel, closure of shops, offices and public transport, and entry has been prohibited for holders of foreign passports, except in special cases.

In addition, the lockdown entered into force on 27 November 2020 was extended until February 1. prohibiting movements at night (from 19.00 to 06.00) and on Friday and Saturday.

Despite all these limitations, with the efforts of all, we have finished with great joy the first semester of our academic year 2020/2021!!

After the gradual recovery from late August 2020, of which we told you earlier, one of the biggest challenges has been to spread awareness about this new virus and to keep always high the attention on the behaviors to keep to stem the spread of the virus and therefore to be able to remain always open.

It was difficult to make children understand the importance of always wearing the mask and to sanitize their hands every time they touched a surface, but both they, parents, and teachers were all very careful and responsible.

Despite all the difficulties we are confident and will work even more intensely for this new semester! The road has been long, rich of great satisfactions but also of many pitfalls, that we have overcome, and we are ready to continue our mission. But to continue we also need your help.

The pandemic brought down not only our school, but also many families of our students, who once could support us. Therefore, any kind of help will make a difference to our school and our beloved students.
