As the school year comes to as close we can look back on a highly successful year up in the mountains. Our Phoenix teacher did sterling work in her class and just her presence helped the teacher/class ratio reduce to 1:2 (one teacher per two grades). Our priority over the coming months is to install many new sustainable plans on top of those we already have.
Since introducing Plan Moo a few years ago the majority of children in the mountin region where we work now continue with further education including secondary, college and university education which is an incredible effort. With more children now graduating from primary school we need to keep increasing the plans. We also must increase the numbers of teachers in the school so we have one teacher per class.
Our goals of increasing teacher numbers and adding more sustainable plans are a distinct posibility with the excellent charitable news from GlobalGiving who have $110,000 to match donations by 50% from 9am EDT on Wednesday 12th July whilst funds last! If you want to support the Seven Continents Charity Challenge 2017 for sustainable income plans, please do donate to this page from the time and date stated previously and we should get 50% bonus – brilliant!
Have a fantastic summer, cheers!
