Dear Friends,
We are happy to meet you again through our project report.
In Indonesia, the new academic year begins in July. This year, the academic year starts on July 15. YKIP is thrilled to inform you that YKIP will continue the scholarship program in the 2024-2025 academic year by sponsoring 346 students from elementary to senior high school in six regencies in Bali.
Before the academic year started, we took a chance to deliver a digital literacy workshop for junior and senior high school students in Gianyar on June 29, 2024. 24 students attended the workshop. The seminar was delivered by Ms. Surya Astitiani, a Digital Business lecturer at Universitas Bali International.
Similar to the previous workshop, the students learned to protect themself in the online platforms. They learned to protect themselves from cyberbullying and learned not to be a bully on the internet.
The students is not only learned about protecting themselves on the internet, but they also learned about the opportunities they could explore on the internet. They could be affiliates, and content creators, and open their online business, utilizing the convenience offered by the network. We hope that the knowledge they obtain during the workshop would be beneficial for their everyday life.
In a couple of weeks, YKIP would start the school supplies distributions to 346 students in the KEMBALI Scholarship program. We will visit the students and meet with the students and their families. Besides distributing the school supplies and allowances, YKIP wishes to listen to students' stories and hopefully, we can share some of the stories with you.
We are thankful for the generosity of donors like you who always support our cause.
See you in the next report!
Best regards,
YKIP Team
