This project will benefit 5750 person which includes 1190 orphans and vulnerable children through education 30 paid school fees and scholastic material support.Scholarships for 30 youth out of school will be trained in vocational skills supported with start up kits. 100 children and youth will be given goat as Income generating activity. Toll free line services will be established for complain response and fed back reports. 4400 reached awareness raising on Human Rights and health
Ngora district is located at Teso Eastern Uganda and second poorest regions .According to the report of National Population and Housing Census 2019 Specific-Ngora District Total population is 161,600 Males 78,600,Females 83,000.majority are children and youth.A cording to educational needs assessment report children can't access their right to education due to high rates of poverty ,unemployment among youth.High death rate due to lack of proper medical care living children orphaned.
This project will provide Education to orphans and vulnerable children to improve their lives and Prepare out of school youth for gainful employment. The community will have increased knowledge on Human Rights and sexual and reproductive health information and HIV/AIDS. This project will established toll free line services as complain response mechanism and fed back mechanism children and community will be able to report any form of abuse of children for proper case management.
The project will support 1220 orphans and vulnerable children with scholastic materials which includes book,pens,uniform,bags,mattresses,textbooks,math sets,colors. 30 youth will be trained in vocational skill in tailoring ,carpentry brick laying soap making smearing oil making entrepreneurship will be given startup kit. 100 orphans will be given goats as income generating activity. 4400 persons Increase knowledge on sexual and reproductive health to stop early pregnancies.
