Carayaca Proyect from January to June 2023.

Coromoto2020 and the Center for Educational Innovation (CIED) of the Andrés Bello Catholic University have come together to bring hope to the parish of Carayaca in the State of La Guaira in Venezuela.

In the training plan “Docentes Líderes de Carayaca”, we seek to train teachers in good practices in the classroom and socio-emotional tools in alliance with Andrés Bello Catholic University (UCAB).

In January 2023 we started the Carayaca Educational Project within the framework of "Teacher's Day". This pilot test will be carried out for 1 YEAR, led by a team of 10 UCAB professors who stay in Carayaca for 2 days on a MONTHLY basis in order to diagnose specific needs in Psychology and Pedagogy, apply the training program with teachers, children and adolescents and follow up on it. Through this alliance, we seek to provide support to respond to the innovation needs in student learning.

14 institutions attended.

6 visits to Carayaca (2 for planning and 4 for execution).

Children attended:

January 510

March 670

April 130

June 141

Total: 1451 children

Teachers attended:

January 50

March 80

April 9

June 15

Total: 154 teachers (systematic training 62 teachers)

Training in:

1. Computational thinking at Pre-school.

2. Reading and writing at Elementary School.

3. Educational Robotics at Elementary School.

4. Psychological Wellness workshops for teachers.

What are we looking for with this project?

  1. To continue sending professionals in the educational area to Carayaca to train teachers and monitor the Educational Project.
  2. To provide schools with educational resources such as: computers, books, and maps.
  3. To give incentives to teachers such as: transportation bonus, non-perishable food, work schedules, pens, pen drives.
  4. To deepen the scholarship plan so that teachers can take Diplomas.

Help us reach the goal and continue betting on Education in Venezuela!
