YOUR HELP CAN CHANGE THEIR LIVES

By ANA PALACIO | Executive Director

Every year 300,000 Colombians, mostly from the poorest families, finish high school and have no chance of entering university.

In our country only 33 percent of children under 6 years of age receive initial education. Of every 100 who enter primary school, only 39 finish high school. It is a harsh reality that to receive quality education in Colombia, you have to be rich, powerful, have influences and contacts.

This is why in SUPERARSE, we have proposed to help young people with few opportunities to enter the University, but we also have the objective of helping to reduce student desertion, improve the quality of basic education, which is increasingly obsolete and it produces much of the problems of higher education.

WE NEED YOUR HELP, MORE YOUNG PEOPLE NEED YOUR DONATIONS TO STUDY.

More and more young people are unable or unwilling to continue their studies after high school, leading to extremely high rates of informal employment.

All citizens, businessmen and the Government must take these challenges seriously. If we continue down this path, the possibilities in Colombia of finding peace, equity and development will be increasingly remote.
