We've launched medical assistance for refugees

Following as the request of many refugees in refugee camp and the Deputy Minister of Health of the Moldova government, Peace Winds Korea immediately started supporting refugees needed medical assistance.
According to Moldova Health Secretary-General, Ion Prisacaru, when refugees reach the Palanca border, they work with the WHO Moldova office to check the health condition of refugees first. Only urgent patient will get medical care, and most of them just travel to Kishinau even they have a cancer or anyother diseases which may look not so serious at that period.

"Currently, about 4,000 refugees cross the border every day.
The medical field is not panicked yet, but everything is insufficient as the number of refugees who need support has increased. Moldova's modern medical system is not so structured, and still has Soviet-era customs. I think it would be very helpful for both, the Moldova government and the Ukrainian refugees, to cooperate with professional medical organizations such as Peace Winds Korea."
The medical team of Peace Winds Korea (1 Doctor and 1 nurse) were dispatched from headquarters to Moldova, and they set up a temporary clinic to start medical support. Even the weather is so cold outside, the refugees wrap blankets to wait for their turn in a long line.
Peace Winds Korea provides medical treatment not only to refugees but also to cooperative partners who conduct refugee relief activities. One of our partner, Pastor Vladmir, who support the supply of goods to Ukraine with Peace Winds Korea, is suffering from a kind of trauma because he witnesses the battlefield every time he travels to and from Ukraine. We invited Vladmir's family to take a medical check and give necessary treatment.
There are people with various diseases in here. Also, many people need trauma treatment caused by the war. Peace Winds Korea send medical supplies to refugee camps and Kisinausi Medical Center and hospitals outside Odessa-Micolaiu in Ukraine where medical supplies are scarce,
We will continue to support refugees by send medical supplies and operate temporary clinics. In the future, we are also considering to operate a 'mobile clinic' in cooperation with the local community.
