I would like to share with you the news about rebuilding the kindergartens that were attacked by Russia.

- The 4th Kindergarten and the 72nd Kindergarten

Last October in Chernihiv 7 people were killed and 181 people were injured by the attack of the Russian army.
Because of this attack, the 4th kindergarten and the 72nd kindergarten in Chernihiv got serious damage. The part of the building including the roof was destroyed and all the windows were broken. Thus, the kindergartens couldn't start their classes as the water system, heating system, electronic system were broken even as the new semester began.

In order to ensure the education of Ukrainian children, Peace Winds decided to rebuild the kindergartens. We repaired the roof of the damaged building and installed a new heating system to prepare for the coming winter. And we painted the classroom walls sky blue and green. The teacher of the 72nd kindergarten painted beautiful pictures for the children. She was very excited to start the new school year.
Everything was rebuilt with the safety of the children in mind.

Thanks to our valuable donors, the children in Ukraine can continue to learn in a safe environment.

Today I would like to share with you the news about the support of Ukrainian refugees with disabilities.

- Why do we support refugees with disabilities?
Among the thousands of refugees, especially disabled people are hard to access the medical service. So it's not easy for them to go to the hospital even if it's urgent.
To solve this problem, Peace Winds started to visit their home and provide them with the medical service they need. We provide not only medicine but also medical equipment such as blood pressure monitor, suction machine and hearing aid. We let them know how to take the medicine in the right way. Each medical service was planned with social workers and the refugee's doctor. Until now 87 Ukrainian refugees with disabilities received the service of Peace Winds.

- A woman's health improved through this project.
A 70-year-old woman, who had a stroke, improved her health so much that she can live by herself. This was surprising news to Peace Winds staff and even the doctor.

"I didn't know that my health could improve during the evacuation. I was worried about being alone because my daughter went back to Ukraine to earn money. But now I can live by myself."

Since she got healthy, she smiles a lot and becomes positive.

- The heart of the project: Doctor
The doctor helps to plan the medical service based on her experience in helping disabled people. When she starts her medical treatment, the refugees open up and tell their stories.

"We are in Moldova, but my son still lives in Ukraine. I worry about him every day, what if he's caught in an attack."

The situation of refugees is different from person to person. So they need proper medical care and case management.
Peace Winds will be with the Ukrainian refugees until the end of the war.
