Hello everyone,

This is Peace Winds Korea.

I hope you all doing well. I'm here to continue to share with you the refugees' life at the shelter.

Peace Winds filming team stayed at Patria Lukoil shelter and experienced the life of a refugee. He sent a video and photo report which I would like to share with you,

One day from refugees’ life

<Episode 2> Everyone at the shelter is one big family>

About 100 refugees are currently living in the shelter and little by little there appearing necessary rules to live together without any inconvenience.
This shelter building is like an apartment with many private rooms, but since it was originally used as a movie theater there is no kitchen. And toilets and showers are shared. And  there is shower time schedule for men and women separately.
Men’s shower time is set at 22:00-23:00 at night. That's why you can see a lot of older people rubbing their eyes and going in because they are very sleepy at that time.

There is no separate manager in charge of cleaning toilets, laundry room, children's areas and other common areas such as hall. So the refugees by themselves responsible for managing them one by one. There are many private rooms, so it seems like everyone can have a privacy, but in reality, the evacuation center residents live together like one big family.

When our filming team saw that there were other children in their room and asked about it, they said, “Other children often come and play with our children. We take care of each other's children at the shelter. Everyone in this shelter is one big family. If the neighbor asks to look by kids a little, we help each other as much as it needed.”
At the shelter, refugees living their daily lives helping each other.
Even in these time of prolonged war and cold winter, they are not losing their bright smile and kindness. They are replacing a family for each other and sometimes replacing a friend. But the most important thing is they are overcoming these difficulties together.
