Since last March, Peace Winds Korea has been providing support to the Dvor project, a community support program in Moldova. We are excited to share the latest updates on this project.
What is the Dvor project
The Dvor project aims to identify local issues within the Moldovan community and empower Moldovan residents to address these problems, while also facilitating the integration of Ukrainian refugees into the Moldovan community. Through this project, participants seek to gain a deeper understanding of their neighborhoods and local residents, identify local challenges, and develop and implement effective solutions. It is also expected to foster increased interaction and engagement with refugees.
Taking steps towards establishing a Homeowners' Association
Based on a report prepared in early May, the participants voted to establish a Homeowners' Association. To support this initiative, they collaborated with various activists and the initiative group called Primaria Alternativea, which has relevant expertise, to organize educational sessions. These sessions took place on May 17th and 23rd.
Listening to the opinions of 159 individuals through local surveys!
To uncover the issues within their local neighborhoods, the participants collected the opinions of a total of 159 individuals. The survey included questions regarding the frequency of communication between Moldovan residents and their neighbors, perceptions of resident organizations, and the willingness to address community issues. The results indicated that Moldovan residents engage in regular communication with their neighbors and demonstrate a genuine interest in resolving challenges within their current living areas.
The Dvor project will continue until July! Stay tuned for more exciting developments!
