Sincere greeting from Peace Winds Korea. We deeply appriciate your support and attention for our project.

Last October, we were able to distributed hygiene kits to 400 refugees in Zaporizhzhia City, Ukraine.

Zaporizhzhia Oblast, located in southeastern Ukraine, has about 80% of its territory occupied by Russian forces. Many refugees who have fled the occupied areas are currently residing in the city of Zaporizhzhia, an administrative center of the region.

Through a needs assessment conducted in the area, Peace Winds found that more than 80% of those struggling with a shortage of hygiene products had not received any support.

In response, hygiene kits containing 10 itemsincluding toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, shampoo, detergent, and toilet paper—were distributed to 400 individuals, including the elderly, people with disabilities, and families with three or more children.

The distribution of hygiene kits took place at four buildings serving as administrative hubs for refugees (commonly called as "Hubs").

The process of adjusting distribution sites, delivering kits, contacting beneficiaries, and distributing items was carried out in cooperation with the Hubs, local governments, and regional volunteers.

Ms.Inna, the Hub representative, who herself is a refugee fled from a Russian-occupied area but is actively working for supporting refugees.

Russian invasion of Ukraine is soon approaching its fourth year, and many people still need assistance.

On 8th January, according to UN OHCHR, two aerial bombs struck an industrial facility in Zaporizhzhia city, killing 13 civilians and injuring 110. It marked highest civilian casualties in two years.

Peace Winds will keep committed to supporting the people of Ukraine who are facing challenges. We kindly ask for your continued attention and support.
