Kids for Kids is appealing for emergency funding to help families without any food, water and basic supplies in Darfur, Sudan - "the world's worst humanitarian crisis" (UN,2025). Kids for Kids is the only organization helping children in 110 remote villages of Darfur. Right now we need to provide food, emergency seed, medicine, soap and other essential items to families facing starvation and for IDP families who arrive in our villages.
We are seeking emergency help for families who are desperately short of food and water. Darfur is facing its darkest days, with the UN declaring Sudan as "the world's worst humanitarian crisis". With ongoing conflict, famine, cholera, displacement and heavy rains, children are always the first to suffer. Lack of food and protein means malnutrition and starvation. This leads to brain cells, bones and teeth being compromised - a whole generation of children seriously, forever damaged.
Thankfully, families living in the 110 villages Kids for Kids has already adopted will have a better chance of survival. Despite all obstacles, Kids for Kids has managed to deliver food to eat right now and seed to plant for next year's harvest. Our Kids Kitchen Kits provide families with children 5 and under, with food items full of the protein, vitamins & minerals they need to survive. So far we have reached over 35,000 children with these Kits, but thousands more need your help.
By providing critical emergency aid - Kitchen Kits, Seeds, Medicines, basic essentials - we can prevent starvation and keep people safe in their villages, holding back a new tide of refugees. The fighting will stop and the people you help will be back up on their feet, having not lost their homes and families. And Kids for Kids will return to digging clean water Hand Pumps, giving families a future with Goat Loans, holding back the desert by planting Trees and more - as soon as it is safe.
