15th April 2026 marked three years since conflict erupted in Sudan, triggering what is now widely recognised as the world’s largest humanitarian crisis. According to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), around 34 million people, nearly three quarters of the population, need urgent help today. Over 21 million face acute food insecurity, and Darfur is hardest hit of all. Health care has collapsed and cholera, measles and malaria are spreading. Children are bearing the brunt of this crisis, with over 17 million in need of humanitarian support today.
Earlier this month we gave the go ahead for our next aid project to provide help to 2,737 more families across 20 villages. Each family will receive 2 kg Lentils, 2 kg Ground Nuts, 1 kg Beef Jerky, and 5 Bars of Soap. That is 10,948 more children who will have food to eat. This essential aid is exactly what your donations are making possible. Thank you so much.
Since 2023 when the violence erupted, Kids for Kids has been providing essential support to families. While many aid agencies have been unable to access those in desperate need, Kids for Kids has continued to deliver life-saving support. Through our unique network of local volunteers, built over 25 years of sustainable, community-led initiatives, Kids for Kids has reached some of the most remote and vulnerable families.
Thank you for continuing to stand with us as we deliver support to children that no other organisation can reach. We would be very grateful if you could share this project with your network to increase awareness about how together we can help children living in conditions of extreme deprivation right now.
