Happy New Year! We wanted to take thank you all for your support during 2025 and especially for GivingTuesday on 2nd December. As a result of your generosity this was the best GivingTuesday ever for Kids for Kids!
For 36 hours in December, GlobalGiving boosted your donations to Kids for Kids. During this time 60 of you made a point of donating and on your own raised $14,024 (£10,478) - phenomenal. This amount alone was enough to provide 412 families with children aged five and under with Kids Kitchen Kits full of protein-rich food to strengthen children's bones, teeth and immune systems.
But that's not all....
By donating on this one specific day you unlocked $2,298 (£1,717) in free donations from GlobalGiving. Enough for an additional 68 Kids Kitchen Kits! We were astounded. Kids for Kids Founder Patricia Parker OBE said, "This is the best GivingTuesday we have ever had! I cannot thank you enough for all coming together and creating such a huge impact in just one day. As the world looks away, you have acted and provided food for children who no one else is helping.”
Raising $16,323 in just 36 hours to provide 480 Kids Kitchen Kits shows what is possible when we come together and give any amount we can spare to help others.
As we begin this New Year, we remain very worried for children in Darfur. Friday 9th January marked 1,000 days of conflict in Sudan, and the crisis is worse than ever. For nearly three years, families have endured violence, hunger and loss. Children have grown up knowing nothing but fear. Mothers are watching their children weaken from hunger, with no food left to give them and no help in sight.
But when no one else can get in, we are there. Through our amazing volunteers we are able to deliver urgent, practical support directly to children and families. This year marks 25 Years of Kids for Kids. In 2026 we will continue to do all we can to provide whatever is urgently needed. We look forward to another year of your support and do hope you will share our work with friends as we try to help as many children and families as possible. Thank you.
