Dear Friend,
Our Emergency COVID appeal has been integral in supporting the community we work with. In 2020 your help allowed us to provide: food parcels to 480 people; chicks, frogs, seeds and nets to 50 families for home gardening and food sustainability; hygiene materials and information to 306 families; and counselling to 132 people who were struggling with the wider effects of COVID on their lives.
We have been building on this in 2021. Siem Reap’s COVID cases have gotten much worse with areas of the city in full lock down and staff often working from home. With areas in lock down it has been harder to get supplies to those who need it as we have been unable to cross quarantine lines. However, over the last few months we have provided 16 families with food packages and baby milk. Phoned 47 families to check in and see what they need and how they are, and provided counselling to 37 clients over the phone, with some of these cases being referred for legal support as they were in danger of domestic violence.
You have really helped us make a difference to the lives of women and their families here in Siem Reap. Thank you!
