Dear friends,
We want to thank you all for your support; in lasts months we reach more than 3 thousand euros from GlobalGiving and with the help of other private donors we have achieved our goal.
Thanks this support received, our local partners were able to:
- distributing food baskets in some poor villages in the Nagercoil area, helping more than 30 families.
- deliver food and medical supplies to our 33 children in Mumbai and to many other needy families in the city.
The social workers of the Lok Seva Sangam, in fact, delivered food supplies to poor families between April and May, either by organizing community distribution points in the larger slums or by going house to house in the most critical situations. They then made a second round in June, especially for our families, to bring them also health equipment (masks, products for personal hygiene and sanitization of the house).Moreover, thanks to the older children hosted by the Good Samaritan Mission’s project, we support 100 poor families living in the railway station area and in other degraded neighbourhoods of Mumbai.
We are glad to inform you that the pandemic situation is gradually improving and all activities is going to be re-opened.
