The fight against Ebola requires collaboration, commitment, and community action. As Uganda continues to experience outbreaks that threaten vulnerable populations, The Girl Child Foundation Uganda remains dedicated to supporting prevention efforts and strengthening community preparedness.
This reporting period focused on expanding awareness activities in communities most at risk. Through educational outreach, community discussions, and collaboration with local leaders, we delivered essential information about Ebola prevention, symptom recognition, and safe health practices.
Misinformation remains a significant obstacle to outbreak control. By promoting accurate and reliable information, we are helping communities understand the importance of early reporting and timely medical care. Increased awareness is empowering families to make informed decisions that protect their health and well-being.
Healthcare workers continue to demonstrate extraordinary dedication despite shortages of PPE and limited healthcare resources. Community prevention efforts help reduce the number of infections and ease pressure on frontline responders.
The support of our donors has enabled us to continue reaching vulnerable populations with critical health information and prevention messages. Community members are becoming more informed, vigilant, and prepared to respond to public health threats.
While challenges remain, progress is being made through collective action and community engagement. We remain committed to expanding these efforts and ensuring that vulnerable families receive the support they need during this difficult period.
On behalf of the communities we serve, we thank all donors and partners for your generosity and solidarity. Together, we are helping save lives, strengthen resilience, and build a healthier future for Uganda.
