The Girl Child Foundation Uganda continues to respond to the ongoing Ebola outbreak through targeted awareness campaigns in high-risk communities. Limited healthcare infrastructure and widespread misinformation remain significant barriers to effective disease prevention.
During this reporting period, our team engaged community members through educational sessions focused on prevention, symptom recognition, and early reporting. These interventions are helping to increase public understanding and encourage safer health practices.
Local leaders and volunteers have played a critical role in amplifying accurate health information. Their involvement has strengthened trust and improved community participation in Ebola prevention efforts.
Healthcare workers continue to face challenges associated with inadequate PPE supplies and increasing workloads. Community support for prevention initiatives remains essential to reducing the burden on health facilities and limiting disease transmission.
Through donor support, we have continued promoting preventive behaviors, encouraging hand hygiene, and supporting local response efforts. Community members are demonstrating increased awareness and willingness to cooperate with public health recommendations.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all supporters who continue investing in this emergency response initiative. Your partnership is helping vulnerable communities access vital information and strengthening local capacity to prevent further spread of Ebola.
