Coronavirus Emergency Food Distribution

We celebrated Jamhuri Day while spreading joy and hope to the needy. On this recent public holiday, we had the opportunity to celebrate with some of the most marginalized and vulnerable members of our community: the elderly, widows, single mothers, people with disability, and internally displaced people who are extreamly needy and deserving.

Thanks to the generous supporters of Springs of Hope Foundations Kijiji Mission project we were again able to provide much needed food hampers to so many families living in the IDP camp located a few kilometers east of Nakuru.

We gathered at the grounds of Full Gospel Churches of Kenya, where we also had an educative and interactive session where we sensitized them on accessing available support networks and local resources such as health coverage and access to other groups assisting the disabled.

The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude with joy as they shared stories of being isolated. The event brought a sense of hope. Kijiji Mission assured support, especially to girls facing the challenge of accessing sanitary towels and struggling to pay school fees. We also encouraged the girls to apply for admission into our free tailoring course for needy girls who have no other means of learning an employable trade.

As the year draws to a close, on behalf of the communities we serve I would like to again extend our huge thanks and gratuide for your continued support of these forgotten, marganilised folkes.
