Anastasia’s Recovery: Support Pediatric Rehabilitation in Ukraine

Fourteen-year-old Anastasia survived a missile strike that killed her mother and left her with severe burns. She now needs intensive neuromotor rehabilitation, psychological care and medicines to regain a chance at a normal life. Your gift will fund therapy that restores mobility. And hope.

There are moments when violence becomes almost invisible to those who watch from afar, and behind every headline are children whose lives have been shattered.

On November 19, a missile hit the building where 14-year-old Anastasia lived in Ternopil. She was the only survivor from that attack; her mother died in her arms. Today Anastasia lies in a hospital bed, bandaged and uncertain whether she will ever fully use her hands again. She used to play basketball and lead her school team: small daily rituals that once stitched together life, now put on hold as she fights to recover.

Since 2022, Soleterre has been working alongside Saint Nicholas Hospital in Lviv to accompany children like Anastasia through the long road of physical and psychological recovery. More than 1,700 minors have been severely injured since the beginning of the conflict; many need neuromotor rehabilitation, ongoing psychological support, and essential medicines to rebuild their lives. With your help, we can continue to provide these vital services.

War burns, but together we can help heal, one wound at a time.

Donate now to fund rehabilitation and psychological care for children injured in the conflict. Your support turns desperate days into a path toward recovery.

Anastasia was 14 when a missile destroyed her home and took her mother. She’s fighting to walk, to use her hands, to feel safe again. Help fund pediatric rehabilitation and psychological care for children in Ukraine. Donate today.
