When violence forced Fatima's family to flee their village, they slept in the open with nothing but fear and uncertainty. Thousands of Nigerian families displaced by insecurity face the same reality. This project will provide emergency safe tents that offer protection, privacy, and dignity, helping families survive displacement while they rebuild their lives.
Insecurity has displaced millions across Nigeria, leaving families without shelter. Many sleep in open fields or overcrowded camps, exposed to harsh weather, illness, and safety risks, especially women and children. Lack of temporary shelter worsens trauma and threatens health, dignity, and survival.
This project will provide durable emergency tents to displaced families, offering immediate protection from weather and improving safety and privacy. Each tent will house a family and be distributed with basic setup guidance. Priority will be given to women-headed households and families with children.
Our long-term goal is safer, healthier displaced families while they transition to stable housing. By meeting urgent shelter needs, we reduce health risks, protect dignity, and create a foundation for recovery, resilience, and long-term reintegration into safe communities.
